Dear colleagues,
On behalf of the National Institute for Infectious Diseases “Prof. Dr. Matei Balș”, the European HIV/AIDS and Infectious Diseases Academy, the “Prof. Dr. Matei Balș” Foundation and the Society for Infectious Diseases and HIV/AIDS (SIDHA), I have the pleasure of inviting you to the 12th Edition of the Scientific Days of the National Institute for Infectious Diseases “Prof. Dr. Matei Balș”, to be held in Bucharest, between 23-25 November 2016.
Given the epidemiological characteristics of infectious diseases in Romania, in the general context of globalization, we can foresee that this era will associate great expectations from the specialty of infectious diseases. For this particular reason, the structure and preparedness of the infectious diseases network become essential factors when it comes to elaborating national strategies, in line with international guidelines and consistent with Romanian resources and legislation.
As we talk about cure, not only in viral infections, but also in bacterial, fungal and other infections, we know that this edition of the conference will live up to its high expectations, generating a rich and interesting scientific content, inciting interactive sessions, experience exchange and facilitating scientific collaboration and research projects involving infectious diseases clinics throughout the country and from abroad. We will benefit from the presence and experience of renowned national and international experts, debating interesting topics in the field of infectious diseases, as well as interdisciplinary themes. The pre-congress courses will detail subjects of major interest, including modern options for treatment and prevention of infectious diseases.
Accepted abstracts will be published as Conference Proceedings with ISSN.
We look forward to seeing you at the conference,
Prof. Dr. Adrian Streinu-Cercel
